my kid bro got married last weekend! it was SOOOOO exhausting but we all had fun!
and now that he has moved out, the house feels kinda empty. just last night this wicked lizard was makin’ merry in the kitchen and i almost called out my bro’s name, only to stop myself in time. 
now really, who’s gonna kill all the roaches and lizards from now? its both happy and sad. sigh.
its the weekend! TGIF! im gonna run home to rewatch moonlight resonance all over AGAIN. heh!

i finished the freakin series 3 days ago and there’s this really disturbing feeling which i don’t really know how to describe thats bothering me a lil. a sense of loss, perhaps. its like OMG i finished it and theres no more ah ka, no more hor ma, no more ah yuet and no more jo bao on telly from now. the power of tv. you get obsessed and sucked into this entire family drama for a long period of time and then suddenly POOF! it ends and everythings gone. SIGH. oh well. i hated the ending. the baddies were not taught a good lesson and im still kinda frustrated over kate tsui’s portrayal of ka mei.
that aside, i absolutely enjoyed watching moses (chan) and tavia (yeung).
the hk press had this to say about the ending (which i totally agreed):
“嘉美大团圆太便宜她！”
and kate tsui explained:
徐子珊：其实她不是突然变的，早前她妈妈救她险些被车撞，她跟老公的感情又搞成那样，你注意看前几集她的眼神和表现，已经有少少往荷妈一家倾斜了。她后来又听到红姨那么贪得无厌，就决定揭发。所以她这么快转过来也算合情合理吧？
didnt make shit sense to me. definately not a convincing change for sure. but i know how everybody loves a happy ending. AND GRANDMA SHOULDNT HAVE DIED. grrrrrrrr.

the intern’s nagging at me to post entries! okay so september’s a crazy month packed with lotsa events and birthday celebrations. headed down to D.Hill for dinner last week with W and SS and the food was pretty decent!
thats my honey mustard ribs on the left and W’s ribeye on the right. i loved the cut fries. they were tasty like hell.
been busy tvb-marathoning for the past 2 weeks with my nose glued to the telly set watching 家 好 月 圆 and its like some emo rollercoaster ride thats getting outta hand. my entire family (AND friends) are ALL obsessed with the drama. its about the only thing that we talk about and im beginning to find it amusing.
im loving tavia yeung in her role as “ah yuet” and i think michelle yim is intimidating and gorgeous (AND HOT) despite being the evil queen. ok i can go on forever. but its about time to run and i need to get my ass back home in time to REWATCH the damn thing all over again.
im about to break into a rap in cantonese.

出来社会工作了好几年，看了蛮多，学到了不少。 我想不管是哪里，到处都一定会有一些很可恶，很讨人厌的衰人。 但我得到了一个结论。我真的真的最无法忍受，最令我觉得反感的，就是狗眼的人。
欺善怕恶，完全没点基本礼貌，带着“狗眼看人低”五个字做人的妖怪。
最近和姐妹淘聊起工作上大家都会碰到的大小事。最后发现大家一致认为，最看不起的就是马屁精。
工作表现和态度差，但靠着拍马屁上位的人，最后因该不会有什么好结果。我家阿嬷最爱说的一句话， 就是“人在做，天在看”。 虽然好老土，但我也好想相信是真的。

my best gurlfriends and i spent the weekend doing some beauty shopping in town and we BOUGHT IN BULK! everything from foundations to pressed powders and eyeshadow palettes and whatever else that you can name. it was just insane.

and right after linda we see the release of raymond lam’s latest album as well. perfecto timing. they should do another duet, really. the power of errr…. tvb’s marketing.
haven had the chance to listen to the album though. its supposed to be out this week, and i know a couple of friends are planning to get the pre-orders online.
garrick came back from HK for a short visit and he got me this!
thats kay tse, 谢安琪 , the up and coming cantopopper from hk. and i adore her to bits. thats her latest album <Binary>, and i think she sounds like the stef sun of hk. definately someone to watch out for.

fresh outta the box this week- linda chung’s cantopop release from HK. this is what happens when your acting improves tremendously (pls just watch 溏心風暴) and you are adored by the masses, and then you see the rise in popularity and the increase in endorsements…
next on the line in this entire package *coughs* is but of course THE ALBUM. the girl can hold a decent tune lah. she was slammed by the hongkies for a so-so live performance sometime ago. i watched it on youtube and thought it wasnt THAT bad. jolin tsai was the original singer (in mandarin) for her hit song in this album. in case you’re interested, jolin’s version is called “爱上了一条街”, in the “Show Your Love” album, if i remembered right.

每 天 放 工 回 家， 最 想 做 的 就 是 冲 个 热 水 澡， 然 后 趴 上 我 家 舒 服 的 大 床 看 港 剧。
这是 指 定 动 作， 有 时 看 到 极 度 疯 狂 时， 手 机 还 会 关 掉， 避 免 别 人 打 扰 到 我。
就 是 这 样。 可 以 看 得 如 此 入 戏。
这 几 天 就 完 全 放 弃 了 家 人 朋 友， 躲 在 房 里 看 这 部 重 头 戏。 几 乎 每 一 集 都 会 抓 着 一 包 tissue 在 那 里 一 把 鼻 涕 一把 眼 泪。
听 得 懂 广 东 话 的 朋 友， 真 的 应 该 看 粤语 原 音， 才 能 真 正 感 受 到 戏 肉。
从 三 岁 就 开 始 看 港 剧， 几 乎 每 一 位 演 员 的 名 字 都 叫 得 出。
一 直 到 现 在，无 线 的 制 作 还 是 依 然 精 彩 好 看。
我 想，“ 家 好 月 圆” 的 灵 魂 人 物， 还 是 李 司 棋 饰 演 的“荷 妈”。 每 次 开 口 说 话， 就 是 那 么 的震 憾。
是 时 候 该 回 家“ 煲 碟” 了。
