Still working on my Boston vid.
Here’s the NYC one with Norah Jones crooning in the background.
Not sure when I’ll be back again, but it’s a city that always have a special place in my heart.
I spent the third morning in New York painting school walls in Harlem.
C was involved in a team building project and she roped me in to help. Since I hadn’t exactly gone into Harlem before, I thought, yea sure. So we just got back from the school, with slightly blue fingers (paint streaked), sore necks (from tilting our heads up), and a great sense of accomplishment.
Trip’s pretty good so far. London was fantastic. It even snowed a little! WHOA~ And SL showed me the ‘real‘ London, which I doubt would be in any Lonely Planet guide. We had so many adventures I don’t even know where to begin! Some I can’t say coz I’d be killed. HAHA!!! It’s always great to spend time with old friends.
Here’s a picture taken at the club during Halloween’s weekend:
Then I flew off to Boston and crashed over at Hock’s place. Can you believe this guy??? He actually cooked me fried bee hoon on the first morning… Just like the good old days!!! Back Bay is gorgeous, especially with the gold and red autumn foliage. Hock’s crazy too, so we spent a lot of time laughing our heads off at really stupid things.
Managed to have dinner with D, SY and their adorable kids too. Their little boy was confused as to how to address me, so I was called ‘Jie-jie-mummy-auntie’ for a while. Quite a mouthful for a two year old!
After a numbing four hour bus ride, I arrived in NYC on Thursday night. Note to self:bring less stuff when traveling. Staying over at R and C’s place right now and Time Square is just next door. I love the skyline that greets me in the morning. And yea, painting is fun too…
Couple of hours later, I’ll be on my way to see the Queen.
A few days later, I’ll be checking out the US elections in Boston.
Then after, I’ll be saying hi to Time Square again.
Blimey! I’m super excited!
I don’t know where to start. The happiness just keeps bubbling over, like the story about the porridge pot that wouldn’t stop. I’m delirious.
Six arduous years of lectures, practicals, exams, stress-induced panic attacks and buckets full of strong coffee… FINALLY OVER!!!

This is gonna sound like an Oscar winner’s speech, but I still wanna do it. *ahem* I’ll like to thank:
~ my family, for their support and for putting up with my mood swings and study mess;
~ my friends, for always scheduling appointments to suit my timetable, and for believing in me;
~ my company and my lao-ban, for being so understanding (no, shuddup. I’m not being a bootlicker);
~ my colleagues, for covering my duties when I had to run for classes and exams;
~ my classmates, for keeping my notes whenever I missed lessons and reminding me to study;
Last but not least, I know we don’t talk religion on radio, so I’d just like to thank whoever YOU believe in.
I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet. -Anonymous
Well, I think the shoeless man stole my Havis when I left them outside the library yesterday.
Please return my slippers to me coz I really really like them…:(
The angry side of me feels I should just write an email and complain about the person’s uncalled for ridiculous attitude. This kind of behavior should not be condoned. Especially from a uniformed person. The more I think about it, the angrier I get. GRRR!!!
However, another part of me thinks that I should just be nice and forget it. He may get into trouble with his bosses and that may affect his career. Maybe he’s got many mouths to feed. Maybe he’s got children to send to school.
I think this is the major dilemma that runs through our heads when we come across terrible service. If we don’t do something about it, these people don’t learn. But if we really do it, they may have to pay the price. SO HOW?
We were at YL and IT’s gorgeous place over the weekend for their housewarming. Besides the usual food and drinks, YL actually provided homemade margarita! No kidding! Made with ample booze, lime juice, and smooth crushed ice from her specially bought ice-blender, the margarita was delish! My friend is indeed the hostess with the mostest.
Then their friend brought someone over and I lost my heart. *swoon* It’s a Japanese Spitz and it’s such a dearie!
Curious about the new surroundings, Dogg just moved around quietly. I stole him stealthily from the balcony and started indulging in my fantasy. I felt like an aristocrat walking Dogg in the living room. Luckily Dogg was cooperative too. It would have been hard to pretend to be regal if he had pooped. ROAR!!! I WANT A DOG!!!
ps: For owners out there, I volunteer to walk your dogs, provided they don’t bark too much.
